Soulbound- The romantic notion that an item, (usually a trinket or piece of jewelry,) when acquired, becomes bound to that one individual. A smaller piece of their being that had been lost is found again and they are made whole. A unique and one of kind piece, belonging to you alone.
Hello and welcome! My name is Star and I'm the owner and designer of Soulbound designs. My entire life has been spent drawing, painting, sculpting, designing and sewing my own clothing and costumes. I am most happy and most inspired when I am crafting jewelry and accessories. I started crafting jewelry seriously in my early twenties and sold my pieces in the gift store I worked for at the time. Over the years I've had the opportunity to work on some amazing projects for some incredible companies which have inspired and improved my craft; but the desire to create my own line of jewelry, accessories and to have my own store has never left me. In 2011 I made Soulbound Designs a reality.
I'm in love with color, texture and sparkly things that catch my magpie eye. I love to wear jewelry that's big and bold, with flourish and detail so that's how I make them! I'm a lover of music, subculture, costume design, history, horror movies and literature. All these things influence and inspire my designs. I'm a hippy chick, an animal lover, a reformed goth girl, (still dark on the inside,) and a dedicated Halloween celebrant.
Star Davenport has over 20 years professional and personal costume/accessory design experience, having worked for The Disneyland Resort, NBC, South Coast Repertory Theatre, Renaissance Pleasure Faire and more.
